about us
Patil Technical Solutions has been successfully providing its customers with process solutions, tools and service in metal forming technology for more than fifty years. We give shape to your ideas.

Patil Technical Solutions has at its disposal more than thirty manufacturing techniques and can produce almost any tool for metal forming technology or applied technologies with outstanding and consistent quality to match the customer’s specifications or its own design. Patil Technical Solutions are in use around the globe.
Manufacturing Services:
- CNC I.D. / O.D.grinding.
- CNC Hard and Soft Turning
- CNC Milling
- Lapping and polishing
- Surface grinding
Engineering Services:
- Cold Form Tooling.
- Form Tooling
In addition to our standard tools like head extrusion dies and trimming dies, which we design to meet specific customer needs, we manufacture almost every kind of tools required in forging; they are made of steel, PM steel or tungsten carbide with a wide variety of coatings (CVD/PVD); they can be made as a compact design, multi-reinforced, or in an actively closing and opening design, for forging rotationally symmetric profiles, geometrically complex hand-forged dies, splines or threads
Our technical services range from reconditioning used tools to providing advisory services (e.g. optimizing existing sets of tools with regard to the numbers of pieces that are machined and cost-effectiveness) and even cooperating with tests carried out on procedures used in our customers production processes.
We also attach great importance to offering our customers a variety of logistics services. They range from handling items in line with simple outline agreements to involvement in handling procedures defined by customers, whether they involve Kanban or other logistics concepts.

INJECTION MOULDS
Injection moulding is a manufacturing process for producing parts by injecting molten material into a mould, or mold. Injection moulding ... can be performed with a host of materials mainly including metals (for which the process is called die-casting), glasses, elastomers, confections, and most commonly thermoplastic and thermosetting polymers. Material for the part is fed into a heated barrel, mixed (using a helical screw), and injected into a mould cavity, where it cools and hardens to the configuration of the cavity. After a product is designed, usually by an industrial designer or an engineer, moulds are made by a mould-maker (or toolmaker) from metal, usually either steel or aluminium, and precision-machined to form the features of the desired part. Injection moulding is widely used for manufacturing a variety of parts, from the smallest components to entire body panels of cars. Advances in 3D printing technology, using photopolymers that do not melt during the injection moulding of some lower-temperature thermoplastics, can be used for some simple injection moulds.

RUBBER MOULDS
Liquid silicone rubber is a high purity platinum cured silicone with low compression set, good stability and ability to resist ... extreme temperatures of heat and cold ideally suitable for production of parts, where high quality is required.Due to the thermosetting nature of the material, liquid silicone injection molding requires special treatment, such as intensive distributive mixing, while maintaining the material at a low temperature before it is pushed into the heated cavity and vulcanized. Chemically, silicone rubber is a family of thermoset elastomers that have a backbone of alternating silicon and oxygen atoms and methyl or vinyl side groups. Silicone rubbers constitute about 30% of the silicone family, making them the largest group of that family. Silicone rubbers maintain their mechanical properties over a wide range of temperatures and the presence of methyl-groups in silicone rubbers makes these materials extremely hydrophobic, making them suitable for electrical surface insulations. Typical applications for liquid silicone rubber are products that require high precision such as seals, sealing membranes, electric connectors, multi-pin connectors, infant products where smooth surfaces are desired, such as bottle nipples, medical applications as well as kitchen goods such as baking pans, spatulas, etc. Often, silicone rubber is overmolded onto other parts made of different plastics. For example, a silicone button face might be overmolded onto a Nylon 6,6 housing.

PRESS TOOLS AND DIES
To understand the press tool and die process it is important to know what a press tool and die are. A press tool is embedded in ... a press machine, and it is designed to shape or cut metal using force. The die helps define the shape and size of the cut piece. This process is used to produce a pre-designed component in large quantities. The components that a press tool and die can produce depend on the construction and configuration of that tool and die. Basically, a press tool is an assembly of a tool and a die, a few other parts, and accessories. In lay man’s terms, a press tool and die design process work somewhat like our teeth. The set of upper teeth could be compared to the tool and the set of lower teeth to the die. Together they can cut or make an impression to form a component. Essentially there are two main benefits of this process. First, it results in a high rate of productivity because you can mass produce the component. Second, it has a high accuracy rate, because whether you produce one component or thousands, they will all be of the same size and shape. Perhaps the modern civilized world would crumble without the press tool and die process.
